Verina Astra Hotel

Relax and rejuvenate at the Top-Rated Travel + Leisure Magazine Verina Astra Hotel, hoisted above the Mediterranean Sea.

Sprawling on the side of a steep hill with nothing between you and the endless Aegean blue, Verina Astra leaves you speechless and transcendent. The impressive panoramic view will take your breath away, especially at night when the stars are lit and you feel like every corner was designed to invite you to infinite star gazing. It is no wonder that this stunning complex has taken its name from the Greek word for stars – Astra – and each suite is named after a constellation.

The complex’s layout creates an atmosphere of small independent villas, surrounded by beautiful gardens. An open lounge area with this same unbelievable view provides the perfect spot to enjoy a cocktail in the evening.

You will spend a lot of time around the infinity pool that creates a new dimension for the notion infinite blue.

Greek Island of Sifnos

If you are looking for that perfect Greek island with a balance of beautiful beaches, low-key nightlife, white Cycladic villages, low-impact tourism and some of the best food in the Cyclades, then look no further than Sifnos.

In addition to yoga, you’ll have the option to fill your stay with hiking, boat trips around the island, stargazing, massage therapy on site, cooking classes,  and pottery classes.

The gorgeous Greek island of Sifnos is located in the western part of the Cyclades, which is an island group in the Aegean Sea. The word Cyclades means “circular islands” as the islands form a circle around the sacred island of Delos.

Extensive footpaths travel between Sifnos’ picturesque whitewashed towns, beaches, monasteries and, amazingly, 365 churches, making the island an excellent walking destination.

Explore the village of Artemonas where Venetian and neoclassical mansions stand between traditional Cycladic houses and the island’s best bakeries. Then, walk to the medieval village of Kastro. Built as a Venetian fortress and serving as the island’s capital until 1836, Kastro is a step back in time. Clinging to a domed rock overlooking the sea on three sides, it mesmerizes with labyrinthine streets lined with blue and white houses, colorful doors and gardens, stone benches, Roman urns, pillars, wooden balconies, and classic vistas.

Settle in for a drink at a taverna, then hike or take a donkey ride to the photogenic Panagia Poulati, a vivid white church with a classic blue dome, before dipping into the sea at the rocky beach, a local favorite. In Vathi, on the other side of the island, try a traditional restaurant for delicious clay-oven food. Stop at a pottery workshop (tsikaladia), for which Sifnos is renowned.
